On October 8, 2023, the renowned sports car manufacturer Porsche and the Frauscher boatyard presented their latest masterpiece, the first production model of the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, on Lake Garda. This electric sports boat, which is equipped with drive technology from the future all-electric Porsche Macan, was available to international media and interested parties for test drives for the first time.
“This boat is the result of a great collaboration between two passionate companies with a strong tradition and high standards of innovation,” explained Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG, at the presentation of the boat. The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air combines the advantages of both brands: outstanding performance, luxurious experiences, top quality and an exclusive, timeless design.
Electric drive for maximum performance and versatile riding characteristics
The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air uses the advanced drive technology that will also be used in the upcoming Porsche Macan. At its heart is a powerful, permanently excited synchronous electric motor that has been specially optimized for use on the water. With a peak output of 400 kW and a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery, the boat delivers impressive performance while remaining locally emission-free.
The electric sports boat also offers four pre-programmed driving modes that allow the drive characteristics to be optimally adapted as required. From leisurely harbor maneuvers in “Docking” mode to high-speed cruising in “Sport Plus” mode, where speeds of up to 85 km/h can be reached, the eFantom offers the right setting for every situation.

Fast charging and impressive range
Thanks to Porsche’s 800-volt technology, the boat’s battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes at DC fast-charging stations with over 250 kW. Charging at conventional household and high-voltage connections is also possible, which, according to the experts from Frauscher and Porsche, is likely to be the most common application in most ports. An 11 kW AC charger is part of the standard equipment and enables convenient overnight charging.
Design and comfort: Porsche meets Frauscher
The design of the eFantom bears the unmistakable signature of Porsche. The steering position, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, impresses with a frameless windshield and an instrument panel in high-gloss black. The sports car look is underlined by five analogue round instruments and the typical Porsche steering wheel, which has been optimized for nautical use. The front seats of the boat, which offer plenty of lateral support, also pay homage to the sports seats of Porsche road cars.
Luxurious day cruiser with room for individuality
Based on the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air day cruiser, the 850 Fantom Air offers space for up to nine passengers. The spacious interior, paired with high-quality materials and versatile customization options, makes the boat a luxurious companion on the water. Whether it’s the choice of upholstery colors or the exterior paintwork – customers can design their boat entirely according to their wishes.
Exclusive First Edition already available to order
The official world premiere of the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air will take place in January 2024 at the “boot” boat show in Düsseldorf. Orders are already being taken for the exclusive First Edition, which is limited to 25 units. The price starts at 561,700 euros net, and delivery to the first customers is planned from 2024. The boat will be built at the Frauscher boatyard in Ohlsdorf, Austria.
